Adafruit Blue&White 16x2 LCD+Keypad Kit for Raspberry Pi

This Adafruit Pi Plate simplifies integrating a blue and white 16x2 Character LCD into your Raspberry Pi projects, allowing for control of the LCD, up to three backlight pins, and five keypad pins using only two I2C pins.

The unique design allows for the I2C pins to remain available for i2c-based sensors and accessories. Assembly has been made easier with pre-soldered buttons, chips, and components, reducing your setup time significantly.

Includes a high-quality PCB assembly and a 16x2 Character LCD. The kit requires soldering only for shield headers and the LCD, making it accessible even for those new to soldering. Completion time is approximately 15 minutes.

Cross-compatible with Raspberry Pi's Revision 1 and 2, the plate features four directional buttons and a select button for interface control without an added computer. The Python library facilitates interaction with the LCD and buttons, while inputs are de-bounced automatically.

Please note, the plate currently supports only on/off control for the white backlight. There is no PWM support for this function. Access tutorials and documentation for detailed assembly instructions.
