The EasyDriver V4.5, co-designed with Brian Schmalz, offers enhanced flexibility and control over your stepper motor compared to older versions. The microstep select (MS1 and MS2) pins of the A3967 are broken out, allowing for adjustments to the microstepping resolution. The sleep and enable pins are also broken out for additional control.
Please note that you should not connect or disconnect a motor while the driver is energized as this may cause irreversible damage to the A3967 IC. The product is a result of a collaboration with Brian Schmalz, with a portion of each sale going back to them for product support and continued development.
The EasyDriver features an A3967 Microstepping Driver and MS1 and MS2 pins broken out to change microstepping resolution to full, half, quarter and eighth steps (defaults to eighth). It is compatible with 4, 6, and 8 wire stepper motors of any voltage and offers adjustable current control from 150mA/phase to 700mA/phase. The power supply range is from 6V to 30V, with higher voltages providing higher torque at high speeds.
