One of the standout features of this shield is the "PROG" button. This button is electrically parallel with the "PROG" button on the Teensy Boards, offering the flexibility to enter Programming mode using either the button on your Teensy or the button on the shield.
For assembly, the Qwiic Shield for Teensy comes with the Teensy Header Kit. Soldering the headers to the shield and your Teensy board is required. Be sure to match the markings on the Qwiic Shield to the appropriate pins on your Teensy to avoid potential damage to your boards.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System, of which this shield is a part, is a comprehensive ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables. This system is designed to make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, minimizing the required PCB space. The polarized connections also ensure correct and safe hook up.
The package includes the SparkFun Qwiic Shield for Teensy and the Teensy Header Kit. The shield is Teensy 4.0, 3.2, or LC Footprint Compatible, has 4x Qwiic Connection Ports, a "PROG" button with satisfying tactile feedback, an I2C Jumper, and 3.3V and GND Buses.
