The SparkFun gator:starter ProtoSnap is a part of the innovative gator:board series. These accessories are designed for effortless interfacing with the micro:bit or other microcontrollers. The gator:starter ProtoSnap serves as an excellent launch point to explore beyond what the micro:bit can do. It features three distinct boards that can either be used as a single unit or snapped apart for individual use.
The gator:starter comes with a temperature sensor board, a light sensor board, and an RGB LED board. The power has been broken out to allow for easy clipping to the edge of the gator:starter, powering the board without the need to break apart each sensor or LED. However, if you wish to operate any of the LEDs independently, you can snap the board apart by twisting each LED board side to side.
Power tabs are also available on the two sensors and the LED, should you decide to break the gator:starter down to its basic components. Even if you choose to keep the board intact, you can still interface with all sensor and light pins. These pins are designed with a dual hole layout that permits clipping from above.
The gator:starter ProtoSnap package includes:- 1x gator:temperature Board (MCP9700)- 1x gator:light Board (TEMT6000)- 1x gator:RGB Board
