Adafruit SMT Test Socket - SOIC-16 Narrow Breakout

This innovative test socket is designed specifically for SMT parts, similar to ZIF sockets for DIP chips. Ideal for SOIC-16 or smaller packages, it accommodates any SOIC/SOP "Narrow" chip with a 150mil wide body and 16 pins or fewer.

Simply press the top, insert the chip carefully, and release to secure it against gold-plated 'fingers' ensuring stable connectivity. Note: It does not fit 200mil or wider chips, but alternative sockets are available for medium and wide SOIC chips.
