Adafruit Rugged Metal On/Off Switch with White LED Ring

These chrome-plated metal buttons boast robustness alongside a sleek appearance. Simply drill a 16mm hole into any material up to 1/2 inch thick to install, complete with a rubber gasket for water resistance.

The front features a flat metal actuator encased by a white plastic LED ring. On the back, find three contacts for common, normally-open, and normally-closed connections, plus two for the LED ring's power (+ and -). Light up the LED with a 3 to 6V source, utilizing the built-in resistor, or add a 470 ohm resistor for 12V or 24V connections to maintain 20mA current.

This on/off switch maintains its 'pressed' state by shorting the normally-open contact with the common contact, reverting with a second press. The independently wired switch and LED allow versatile connectivity options, from activation upon pressing to any configuration you need.
