Adafruit Rugged Metal On/Off Switch with Blue LED Ring

These chrome-plated metal buttons offer both durability and aesthetic appeal. Install them in materials up to 1/2" thickness by drilling a 16mm hole. A rubber gasket ensures waterproofing for outdoor applications.

The button features a flat metal actuator with a surrounding blue plastic LED ring, adding a modern touch. Its back houses 3 contacts (common, normally-open, normally-closed) and 2 LED terminals (+ and -). The LED lights up efficiently with 3 to 6 volts, thanks to an integrated resistor. For higher voltages like 12V or 24V, adding a 470 ohm resistor ensures proper current regulation.

This on/off switch button is engineered for reliability. A press shorts the 'normally-open' contact to the common, maintaining the 'pressed' state. Pressing again releases it. The independent LED circuitry allows for customizable lighting configurations based on your project needs.
