The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) is a compact system-on-module equipped with a powerful Broadcom BCM2712 processor, featuring a quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 running at 2.4GHz. It includes 4GB of LPDDR4-4267 SDRAM with ECC, 64GB of eMMC flash storage, and dual-band 2.4/5GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0/BLE. Designed for embedded applications, it offers a variety of high-speed interfaces through two 100-pin high-density connectors, making it perfect for integration with custom carrier boards.

The CM5 is ideal for a wide range of applications, from industrial equipment and automation systems to gateways and kiosks. Its compact size of 5.5cm by 4cm allows it to fit seamlessly into custom hardware designs. The module is mechanically compatible with the previous Compute Module 4, offering an easy upgrade path for existing projects.

One of the standout features is its VideoCore VII GPU, which supports OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.3, ensuring smooth graphics performance. The hardware video decoding capability supports up to 4Kp60 HEVC, making it suitable for high-definition video applications. The wireless version of the CM5 includes an onboard antenna and the flexibility to connect an external antenna via the U.FL connector, providing robust connectivity options.
