Qwiic Cable - 500mm

The Sparkfun Qwiic Cable is a 500mm long 4-conductor cable with 1mm JST termination. It's designed to connect Qwiic enabled components together, but its versatility allows it to be used in a variety of other applications. The cable's wires are color-coded to red, black, blue, and yellow, making it easy to identify each wire for accurate connections.

The Qwiic Cable is ideal for connecting Qwiic boards that need to be placed at a distance from the controller. However, it should be noted that I²C signals may degrade over longer distances, and it is recommended to keep the connections to 1 meter or less. Despite this, successful daisy-chaining of boards 2 meters away from a RedBoard has been achieved, although results may vary.

Being a part of the SparkFun Qwiic connect system, this cable is a component of an ecosystem of I²C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables that streamline prototyping and reduce the likelihood of errors. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, which minimizes the required PCB space. Additionally, the polarized connections ensure that the cable cannot be connected incorrectly, further enhancing its user-friendly design.
