Powered by 5V, PS/2 devices communicate using two data pins. This connector boasts six contacts, of which four are operational, with pre-soldered wires: Green for +5V, Black for Ground, Brown for Data, and Yellow for Clock. For 2-in-1 cables, White serves as Mouse Data and Red as Mouse Clock.

The connector is sturdy, easy to panel mount, and bridges effortlessly from PS/2 plugs to breadboards. While wires fit standard breadboards, enhancing connection integrity by soldering thicker wire (22 AWG) may be beneficial.
