PIR sensors effectively detect motion from pets and humans up to 5 meters away. Their compact size makes them perfect for discreet projects. Fully contained and highly configurable, they include 6 pins to adjust sensitivity (SENS), enable the sensor (OEN), and control signal duration (ON TIME).

Providing power via 3.3V ensures compatibility with systems like Arduino. The flexible wires are suitable for breadboard or perfboard use. Adjust the ONTIME pin using a resistor divider to modify the signal duration from 2 seconds to one hour, and tweak the SENS pin for desired sensitivity levels.

With a snap-on lens structured for a 5-meter range and a 120-degree spread, these sensors are ideal for various monitoring applications. Smaller and cost-effective compared to other models, these PIR sensors offer satisfactory performance despite a somewhat limited range and trigger response time.
