Adafruit Mini Basic PIR Sensor - BS412

PIR sensors detect motion from pets and humanoids from about 5 meters away, offering a compact solution ideal for discreet projects. Notably smaller than standard modules, they require only power, ground, and a resistor to set the delay time. Compatible with breadboards or perfboards, they operate on 3.3V, making them suitable for interfacing with certain microcontrollers.

The digital signal output is 3.3V high/low, with an adjustable signal duration using a resistor divider, ranging from 2 seconds to one hour. The snap-on lens focuses detection within a 120-degree spread, effectively covering distances from 3 to 8 meters. Although performance may vary, these sensors offer a balance between cost and functionality.
