The HRLV-MaxSonar-EZ sensor line offers a seamless way to integrate precision range-finding into your computer without the need for a microcontroller or adapter. A micro B USB cable and FTDI drivers are all you need to transmit serial sonar distance data efficiently across any computer operating system.

Experience high accuracy and resolution with this compact ultrasonic proximity sensor, which is smaller than one cubic inch. Key features include 1mm resolution, compensation for target size and operating voltage, internal and optional external temperature compensation for accurate speed-of-sound calculations, and excellent rejection of external noise sources.

This advanced sensor detects objects from 1mm up to 5 meters, registering distances from 30cm to 5 meters. Objects closer than 30cm are commonly reported as 30cm. The sensor operates on a 42kHz frequency and provides range readings approximately every 250mS. Designed for simple integration, it includes a USB interface, virtually no sensor dead zone, and is RoHS compliant.
