This proximity sensor is used to detect surfaces for contactless switching of devices. When the proximity switch is near a target object, it will behave like a closed NPN switch.

Because the sensor works on 5V, it is suitable for use with 5V microcontrollers, such as Arduino.

Searching for a long time for a water meter sensor (Elster V200 with coil) that really works. And that's this one!

Good choice. Used here on the S0tool that I developed, it works perfectly on the s0tool. To keep track of the water meter and an S0 port on a kWh meter. This was specially purchased because it does work on 5v.
