Adafruit LED Ring Light - 76mm Diameter

This LED Ring Light is a versatile illumination tool perfect for various applications beyond its original design for microscope use. Offering soft, cool lighting, it's excellent for photo and video projects or as a unique element in costumes or lighting effects.

Specifications include the need for a 9V power supply, adaptable through a wall adapter or a USB-9V booster cable. The entire ring can be dimmed using a PWM power signal but does not support individual LED control. For those interested in DIY projects, 2.1mm male DC plugs facilitate connections. The original dimmer was integrated into the wall adapter, making it less portable-friendly; however, a simple setup with a microcontroller and an N-MOSFET can offer adequate dimming control.

The ring's design incorporates three 'set screw' attachment points, typically used for securing it to a lens or cowl. Due to variability in manufacturing, there's no fixed offset for these screws relative to the power connection.
