The KR Sense 45A is a compact voltage and current sense breakout board that measures DC current by assessing a voltage drop across a parallel shunt resistor. This measurement is then converted into a final analog voltage output by the INA-169. The sensor can also sense voltage by scaling to a 3.3V ADC range using a precision resistor divider. This variant of the sensor can tolerate a maximum voltage of 51.8V at 44.7A.
It's important to note that the KR Sense boards are provided without leads or connectors. The pad sizes on the board are sufficient to accommodate 12 gauge heavy duty leads, but caution should be taken when soldering to prevent shorts. Soldering smaller gauge leads is considerably easier.
The KR Sense 45A is compatible with the Attopilot 45A Voltage and Current Sensor Breakout, broadening its range of application.
