Adafruit Illuminated Toggle Switch with Cover - Blue

Fire up your engines because these are the hot rods of toggle switches! Equipped with an aerodynamic blue protective casing and a diffused blue LED at the tip, this Blue LED Toggle Switch adds flair and functionality to your project.

Often seen on control panels, you can mimic a racing car, fighter jet, submarine status panel, or factory controls. They will control virtually any accessory with a rated voltage of 12V max, but the LED lights up at 3V, allowing use with lower voltages too.

Despite a "20 A" label, we recommend 1-2A max due to the LED. Wiring is unique: the anode connects through a resistor to the pin with a 'headlamp' symbol, and the cathode to the pin with a ground symbol, sticking out of the switch side. The switch connects and disconnects the (+) pin and 'headlamp' pin.

Options for wiring include connecting/disconnecting two pins on the bottom for on/off functionality, keeping the LED on with constant voltage, or activating the LED only when the switch is connected. The protective cover auto turns the switch off when closed but can be removed if undesired.
