The HiFiBerry DAC+ is a high-resolution digital-to-analog converter crafted for the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B and A+ / B+ Models, and it's fully compatible with the Pi 3. This specialized sound card is designed for achieving unparalleled audio playback quality, utilizing standard RCA connectors familiar from typical stereo equipment.

Effortlessly connect the HiFiBerry DAC+ to your Raspberry Pi using its GPIO pins, with no need for additional cables, thanks to its integrated EEPROM for automatic configuration. The device is powered directly from the Raspberry Pi, eliminating the need for an extra power supply, and includes an ultra-low-noise voltage regulator to enhance audio performance.

Equipped with a dedicated 192kHz/24bit high-quality Burr-Brown DAC, it guarantees superb sound quality and supports hardware volume control. Adjust the output volume using “alsamixer” or any application compatible with ALSA mixer controls. The package includes four M2.5x12mm spacers to securely attach the board to your Raspberry Pi.

This model is solely compatible with Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, Pi 3 Model B, and Pi Models A+ and B+. Although untested with the Pi Zero, it is likely compatible with it as well.
