The sensor operates on a principle that utilizes the capacitive properties of water. In its idle state, the sensor maintains a static capacitance due to distributed capacitance. As liquid approaches, it couples with the sensor's static capacitance, increasing the total capacitance. This change triggers the control IC to convert the capacitance shift into an electrical signal, which is analyzed by a specific algorithm to determine the presence of liquid. Once the shift surpasses a predefined threshold, the liquid level is confirmed at the detection point.
