Description Attachments

Unleash true 1080p edge AI and interactive HMI applications with the FireBeetle 2 ESP32-P4 Development Kit. This all-in-one solution is engineered around the powerful ESP32-P4: a dual-core RISC-V processor featuring a Single-Precision FPU and a professional-grade media engine with hardware-accelerated H.264 encoding (1080p@30fps). The kit provides both MIPI and parallel interfaces for maximum camera and display flexibility, while an onboard co-processor delivers next-generation Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. To bring it all together, the included IO Expansion Board streamlines development, offering an effortless platform to craft sophisticated projects like high-performance AI cameras, responsive smart displays, and other advanced vision systems.

Features of the ESP32-P4 include high-performance AI and video processing capabilities. The ESP32-P4 is engineered for advanced HMI and video applications with a 360MHz dual-core RISC-V CPU, featuring a single-precision FPU and AI instruction extensions. This provides powerful computational performance suitable for complex algorithms. Its professional-grade multimedia engine is capable of handling 1080p video streams through its MIPI-CSI/DSI and parallel camera/display interfaces. An onboard hardware accelerator enables real-time H.264 encoding at 1080p@30fps. Additionally, integrated ISP, PPA, and 2D-DMA facilitate smooth, responsive GUI development. With native support for capacitive touch and speech recognition, this kit serves as an ideal choice for developing intelligent interactive devices.

The kit boasts next-generation wireless connectivity, with a dedicated ESP32-C6 co-processor managing all wireless tasks, freeing up the main ESP32-P4 CPU for AI models and video processing. This ensures maximum performance and stability for core applications. For AI cameras and smart doorbells, Wi-Fi 6 delivers high throughput and low latency required for seamless 1080p video streaming to the cloud or a smartphone, eliminating stutter and lag even in crowded environments. For interactive panels and robotics, Bluetooth 5 (LE) simplifies the device commissioning process, allowing trouble-free initial setup via a smartphone app. It also enables the device to function as a hub, reliably controlling nearby Bluetooth sensors, smart locks, or lights.

Rapid prototyping is made straightforward with the IO Expansion Board, designed to eliminate common hardware challenges such as messy wiring and unstable connections. It provides a clean, reliable, and clearly labeled hardware foundation, allowing developers to concentrate on application code. For robot vision systems, I2C gyroscopes and motor drivers can be directly plugged into dedicated headers without the need for cross-referencing pinout diagrams, enabling assembly in minutes and immediate focus on control algorithms. In home automation panels, the clearly marked UART headers enable the quick connection of LiDAR sensors or other serial peripherals. Abundant power pins ensure stable, simultaneous power for multiple sensors and a display, preventing frustrating issues related to an unreliable power supply.

The ESP32-P4 Development Board & IO Expansion Board is compatible with both the Arduino IDE and ESP-IDF. However, please note that advanced MIPI-CSI and AI functions currently require the ESP-IDF, while all other functions are fully supported in the Arduino IDE.
