Pololu FEETECH Standard Servo FS5106B-FB with Position Feedback

The FS5106B-FB is a modified FEETECH standard-size analog servo, featuring a feedback potentiometer accessible via a fourth wire. This unique feature allows for direct measurement of the output angle, enabling precise determination of target position achievement or detection of obstructions. The feedback facilitates advanced closed-loop control from the main controller.

This servo operates with standard RC pulses, offering a movement range of about 180° with pulse widths from 700 µs to 2300 µs. The feedback voltage adjusts linearly over this range, providing reliable data for various applications.

Connections for signal, power, and ground are made through a 3-wire cable with a JR-style connector, compatible with Futaba systems. The feedback wire is separate, similar to premium jumper wires, and fits standard 2.54 mm male header pins. The cables measure approximately 30 cm in length.

The FS5106B-FB differs from the FS5106R, which is designed for open-loop speed control without feedback. Both models share the same motor and gear reduction, but the FS5106B-FB's feedback wire allows for enhanced control in limited-range applications.
