Adafruit Diffused RGB (tri-color) LED

Experience vibrant illumination with our diffused 5mm tri-color LED, featuring separate red, green, and blue LED chips. With a harmonious color mix, the LED appears as a single glowing light instead of three distinct colors.

Its 60-degree viewing angle ensures visibility from multiple perspectives. Designed as Common-Anode type, it simplifies integration by connecting one pin to 5V and linking the other legs to ground through a resistor. This makes it compatible with multi-LED driver chips, such as TLC5940/TLC5941, which are often engineered for Common-Anode use.

Specifications include a 5mm diameter and wavelength measurements: Red at 630 nm, Green at 525 nm, and Blue at 430 nm. Forward voltage ranges for Red are 2.1-2.5V, Green 3.8-4.5V, and Blue 3.8-4.5V, all operating at 20mA current. Enjoy typical brightness levels with Red at 500 mcd, Green at 600 mcd, and Blue at 300 mcd.
