The chipKIT uC32 offers robust performance with the Microchip PIC32 microcontroller, providing a versatile open-source prototyping platform for electronic and embedded system applications.
This board mirrors the Arduino™ Uno in form, complete with a USB serial port for IDE connectivity, and versatile power options via USB or an external source. The integrated PIC32MX340F512H microcontroller upgrades the system with an 80 MHz 32-bit MIPS processor, 512K Flash, and 32K SRAM, boosting capabilities over its predecessor, the Uno32.
Program the uC32 through the adaptable Multi-Platform Integrated Development Environment (MPIDE), crafted from the Arduino IDE to support PIC32 microcontrollers. It also integrates seamlessly with the advanced Microchip MPLAB® IDE and enjoys support from the PICKit3 programmer/debugger.
Designed for ease of use across skill levels, the uC32 board provides 42 I/O pins capable of numerous peripheral functionalities, including UART, SPI, I2C, and pulse width modulation. An additional twelve I/O pins offer flexibility as analog or digital inputs and outputs, allowing for intricate experimentation in electronics and embedded control.
