This warm-white glowy letter is crafted from COB (Chip On Board) LEDs, designed to emulate the aesthetic warmth of vintage Edison-style bulbs. Each letter is composed of numerous micro LED diodes bonded to a robust metal backing and encased in silicone for durability.
Despite being one-sided, the thin PCB substrate emits a back glow, adding depth to its lighting effect. With LEDs wired in parallel, only a 3V supply is required, and a current limiting resistor can manage a maximum current of 100mA.
While not flexible, these units provide a consistent glow that effectively replicates the look of tungsten filaments. Lightweight and versatile, they can be easily affixed to surfaces, sewn onto fabric, or secured with fishing line.
For ease of use, these letters can be PWM dimmed, allowing lighting intensity adjustments. Simply connect 3V power to both ends; the negative side is indicated by a '-' symbol on the PCB. If it doesn't illuminate initially, simply reverse the connection.
Compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs or can be soldered/clipped using the tabs at the bottom, these LEDs offer simplicity in illumination and customization possibilities.
