Adafruit PyGamer for MakeCode Arcade, CircuitPython or Arduino

Meet the all-in-one Adafruit PyGamer, thoughtfully designed for those who wish to explore DIY gaming and retro-emulation. Compact and resourceful, it features the powerful ATSAMD51 chip with 512KB of flash and 192KB of RAM, complemented by an additional 8 MB of QSPI flash for game assets.

The front hosts a vibrant 1.8" 160x128 TFT color display with fast DMA support for seamless visuals. A dual-potentiometer analog stick offers precise control, complemented by four tactically arranged buttons for a genuine handheld gaming experience. The presence of five NeoPixel LEDs adds a dynamic touch to your interactive projects.

On the reverse, a Feather-compatible header extends its functionality with plug-in FeatherWings. With three STEMMA connectors, including I2C compatibility, expand the PyGamer's sensory capabilities. Built-in sensors include a front-facing light sensor and a 3-axis accelerometer to detect motion and orientation changes.

Music takes center stage with a stereo headphone jack and a mono class-D driver for external speakers. A LiPoly battery port ensures effortless portability with built-in recharging via the Micro USB port. Versatile programming options include MakeCode Arcade, CircuitPython, and Arduino, each enabling unique interaction potentials.

The PCB includes ATSAMD51J19 at 120MHz, a Micro SD card slot, and readily accessible programming, charging, and debugging via USB. Although button caps, case, speakers, and battery are not included, the PyGamer remains a versatile and valuable resource for creative development.
