The HTU31-D marks a significant leap in digital humidity and temperature sensors, following the success of the HTU21-D. Its I2C interface facilitates seamless integration into projects, providing reliability at an affordable price point akin to the DHT-series sensors.

Featuring a remarkable relative humidity accuracy of ±2% within a range of 20% to 100% and a temperature accuracy of ±0.2°C from -0~100°C, this sensor guarantees precise environmental readings. It also includes an onboard heater, useful for evaporative condensation, though its activation might alter temperature readings.

Equipped with valuable extras like a hardware reset pin, an address-select pin, and a thermal-isolation cut out, the HTU31-D ensures high data integrity through its inclusion of CRC-checked data reads. Its compatibility with STEMMA QT and SparkFun Qwiic systems simplifies connectivity, enabling solderless integration with an array of additional sensors and components.

The module's custom-made PCB in the STEMMA QT format allows straightforward interfacing, supporting both 3.3V-5V microcontrollers and microcomputers. Package contents include a fully assembled PCB breakout and a modest piece of header, with soldering required to attach the header for breadboard use, making setup accessible even for beginners.
