Adafruit Feather 32u4 RFM69HCW Packet Radio - 868 or 915 MHz

The Adafruit Feather 32u4 Radio with RFM69HCW 900MHz module combines a microcontroller and packet radio transceiver with USB and battery charging, ideal for creating wireless networks with greater range and lower power needs than WiFi. At its core is the ATmega32u4 chip at 8MHz and 3.3V logic, with 32K of flash memory and 2K of RAM.

This versatile device supports 868MHz or 915MHz transmission and features built-in USB support for programming and debugging. The Feather 32u4 also integrates a 100mA LiPoly charger with charge status LED, enabling easy portability with any 3.7V LiPo battery.

Specifications include a 3.3V regulator, 20 GPIO pins, hardware support for Serial, I2C, SPI, and USB, and a range of approximately 350 meters depending on conditions. The module supports encrypted packet transmission using AES-128 and can be configured for multipoint networks with individual node addresses.

Lightweight and compact, the board measures 2.0" x 0.9" x 0.28" and weighs just 5.5 grams. The Feather 32u4 comes assembled and tested, complete with a USB bootloader. Headers for breadboard use are included, although antenna construction requires a simple wire connection.
