Easy e-paper comes to your Feather with this innovative breakout, making it simple to add a monochrome eInk display. With high contrast and excellent daylight readability, this 2.13" monochrome display has 250x122 black pixels on a white background, resembling printed paper.
Compatible with all Feather models from ESP8266 to M0, the display includes built-in memory buffering for smaller chips. It requires the use of 3 SPI pins and up to 4 control pins for the SD card slot and SRAM.
Updating faster than tri-color displays, the monochrome screen refreshes in just a couple of seconds. Our CircuitPython and Arduino libraries allow you to create a 'frame buffer' of pixels and transfer them to the display efficiently.
A built-in SRAM chip eliminates the need for extensive frame buffering by sharing the SPI port, requiring just one extra pin. Our library further simplifies usage, allowing you to interface as if it were an Adafruit_GFX compatible display.
An included MicroSD socket lets you store various image and text files for display. Pre-assembled and tested with socket headers, it allows for effortless integration with your Feather without soldering.
