73:1 Metal Gearmotor 20Dx42L mm (Short Output Shaft)

Pololu's compact brushed DC gearmotors are renowned for their power-packed performance. This particular model features a 6V brushed DC motor paired with a 73:1 metal spur gearbox. The gearmotor is cylindrical, with a diameter of 20mm, while the D-shaped output shaft is 4mm in diameter and extends 10.7mm from the gearbox's faceplate.

At 6V, the gearmotor delivers impressive key specs: 180 RPM and 250 mA free-run, 4.3 kg-cm, and 3.2 A stall. This makes it an excellent choice for applications requiring a compact, powerful gearmotor with high torque.

The gearmotor's unique properties include its size and power. Despite its small footprint, it delivers the performance of much larger motors. This makes it an ideal choice for compact robotics projects or any application where space is at a premium but power cannot be compromised.

Please note that this gearmotor is being phased out and will be superseded by a new version with a slightly different gear ratio and a longer output shaft. The motor portion will remain unchanged. This short-shaft version will be discontinued when the remaining stock is sold out.
