This backpack employs a HT16K33 driver chip, which simplifies control with its built-in clock and constant-current drivers for ultra-bright and consistent colors. It supports 1/16 step display dimming via a straightforward I2C interface. Easily create scrolling or miniature video displays, reminiscent of a sign in front of a tiny car dealership.

Included are two ultra-bright round 8x8 yellow-orange matrices and a 4-pin header. With some basic soldering—taking just 10 minutes—you'll quickly have your display up and running. Thanks to our comprehensive tutorial and library, you can display images or numbers in less than 30 minutes. Connect up to eight 1.2" 16x8 matrices on a single I2C bus for even larger displays.
