Build weather station

First connect wires to the built-in DC socket. Connect a black wire to the slightly longer leg, and a red wire to the other.

Then connect wires to a 4-pin female header. This will serve as a connection to the LCD. Connect the wires as shown in the picture.

Now connect everything to the Wemos. First the wires from the DC socket: black -> GND, red -> 5V. The wires from the header: black -> GND, red -> 5V, yellow -> D2, white -> D1.

Now connect the I2C LCD interface module to the LCD, see also the photo.

Finally, connect the female header to the interface module. Check the photo and make sure to attach the header in the right orientation.
