Adafruit Wire Light LED Strand - 10 Blue LEDs + Coin Cell Holder

Add sparkle to your project with these lovely silver wire LED strands. These strands are fascinatingly constructed using two silver wires that are coated to prevent short-circuiting. Tiny 1000mcd LEDs are bonded onto the wires and coated with epoxy, resulting in a highly flexible silver wire decorated with discreet "fairy" lights.

These LED strands are waterproof, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor settings. Each strand includes 10 LEDs spaced approximately 12.7 cm / 5 inches apart, creating a 3-foot long strand of wire. A double stranded-core wire is connected on one end with protective heat-shrink tubing, while a 2 x CR2032 coin cell holder with an on/off switch is situated on the other side.

The strands are versatile, allowing you to replace the coin cell holder with a 3xAAA or 3xAA battery holder if desired. The magnet wire is easy to solder, simply scrape off the coating first. With an in-built series resistor, the dual batteries deliver a nominal 6V, safeguarding against resistor overload. Powered by 2 x CR2032 batteries, these LEDs shine brightly for about 8 continuous hours. Perfect for brightening any occasion with a subtle, dazzling touch.
