Rob Price Poor solder removal.
An evening tested on various solder joints from large to small and SMD, but it does not work well enough to desolder properly, solder always remains. It's a nice concept and well designed but it just isn't it all. Too low power (little heat output) and pump too small, so that not all the solder is removed, even after several attempts. It takes a very long time to warm up, which wouldn't be a problem if it worked properly afterwards, but unfortunately that's not the case. The product is not expensive, but in my experience you don't get any better (maybe worse) than your trusted soldering iron and pump. For now I will stick to my station in combination with a larger hand pump and will convert it so that it gets a constant electrical vacuum system. Hopefully I can still use it this way, as it is now I can't do anything with it.
