Adafruit VCNL4010 Proximity/Light sensor

The VCNL4010 sensor offers a seamless way to integrate short-distance proximity sensing into microcontroller projects, ideal for detecting objects within 200mm. Optimally functioning between 10-150mm, it adeptly senses hand gestures or prevents a robot from colliding with obstacles.

Featuring an ambient light sensor, this compact module is compatible with any i2c-enabled microcontroller. Its 5-volt compliance ensures safety with both 3.3V and 5V logic. Additionally, an onboard 3.3V ultra-low dropout regulator accepts input between 3.3 to 5.0V, though 5.0V enhances the IR LED's performance.
