Adafruit Tweet-a-Watt starter pack

Tweet-a-Watt offers a smart solution for wireless power monitoring, utilizing an 'off the shelf' Kill-a-Watt power monitor enhanced with wireless capabilities. Each plug transmits real-time power usage to a central computer, enabling efficient energy management.

The starter pack includes nearly everything necessary to create a single outlet monitor and receiver, making it possible to track up to 1500 watts per outlet. Simply add more transmitter packs to monitor additional outlets. The pack contains essential components like 2 XBee Series 1 modules, adapter kits, and an FTDI cable for seamless data updates and configurations.

Included in the assembly kit are capacitors, resistors, a green LED, and heatshrink tubing. Note that a separate P3 Kill-a-Watt purchase is required. This DIY project suits those with prior electronics and computer experience, allowing customization and control over household or office power management.
