Adafruit Super Capacitor - 2.5V 700 Farad

This UHFC, or Unbelievably Huge Freaking Capacitor, is perfect for any super-cap project demanding up to 700 Farads of capacitance. It offers a 2.5V maximum rated voltage, and unlike voltage-output batteries, its voltage decreases immediately upon discharge.

Use it as a battery alternative; although large, it charges rapidly and is free from degradation common in NiMH or Li-Ion/LiPoly batteries. The ultra-low ESR ensures a strong performance, but also means that short-circuits will produce significant sparks. Caution is necessary when handling these supercapacitors as they require high-current-capable power supplies.
