SparkFun RFID USB Reader

The SparkFun RFID USB Reader is a user-friendly, USB to serial base unit designed for the ID-3LA, ID-12LA, and ID-20LA readers. This compact device, measuring just 3.56cm x 3.05cm x 1.45cm, allows you to simply plug a reader into the headers and attach a miniUSB cable. Once connected, you can open a terminal program of your choice at 9600bps 8N1, scan your 125kHz ID tag, and your unique 32-bit ID will be displayed on the screen. The unit is engineered with a FTDI chip and is equipped with a read LED and buzzer for user convenience.

The latest revision of the SparkFun RFID USB Reader features SMD headers for the RFID module. It also includes a solder jumper, giving you the option to disable or enable the buzzer as per your requirements.

Please note that the SparkFun RFID USB Reader does not come with the RFID reader. You will need to check for compatible readers separately.
