The SparkFun GNSS Timing Breakout is a precision tool engineered for scenarios where accurate timing is as crucial as precise positioning. Equipped with the u-blox ZED-F9T-20B GNSS receiver, it delivers remarkable timing accuracy of five nanoseconds under optimal conditions without external correction data. It includes three SMA connectors for secure, low-loss connections to external equipment: one for the antenna and two for timing pulse signals. The modern USB-C connector facilitates primary power and communication, while two Qwiic connectors allow seamless, solder-free I2C integration with your system. For advanced users, a range of PTH pins offers direct access to the module's pinout.

To minimize setup time, the breakout features an onboard rechargeable backup battery that powers the module's internal Real Time Clock (RTC). This significantly reduces the Time-To-First-Fix from a cold start (~24 seconds) to a hot start (~2 seconds), ensuring your system is operational with minimal delay.
