Adafruit SmartMatrix SmartLED Shield (V4) for Teensy 3

The SmartMatrix SmartLED Shield (V4) seamlessly connects a Teensy 3.2, 3.5, or 3.6 to RGB LED Matrix Panels, eliminating the need for excessive soldering or discarding your Teensy. It's a compact solution tailored to elevate your graphics output.

With pre-soldered 5V level shifters, it ensures enhanced compatibility with 5V panels. Expansion rows are available for main Teensy pins, facilitating effortless prototyping. An intuitive HUB75 pinout means you can plug the panel directly or use the ribbon cable.

Easily connect Dotstar/APA102 LEDs using a 4-pin JST SM cable or the included cable. The SmartMatrix Library provides sketches for quickly displaying patterns or animated GIFs from a microSD card (only needed with Teensy 3.2).

The SmartLED Shield supports 5-address pins, enabling the use of vibrant 64x64 pixel displays, best driven by a Teensy 3.6. This streamlined board effectively harnesses 13 I/O signals to drive your panel and brings other signals to accessible expansion headers.
