Adafruit Small 1.2" 8x8 Bright Square Pure Green LED Matrix + Backpack

Our LED matrices are available in: mini 0.7" 8x8, small 1.2" 8x8, and a 4-digit 0.56" 7-segment. Equipped with a driver chip, these displays handle multiplexing with a built-in clock and feature constant-current drivers for consistent brightness and color. Enjoy 1/16 step display dimming via a simple I2C interface.

Connect up to eight matrices or a combination of 8x8s and 7-segments on a single I2C bus using three address-selection jumpers. Each kit includes a fully tested and assembled 1.2" LED backpack and a green 8x8 matrix with a 4-pin header.

A quick soldering job attaches the matrix to the backpack, complemented by a detailed tutorial and a user-friendly library for fast setup. Begin displaying images or numbers in under 30 minutes.
