Adafruit Sharp GP2Y0D810Z0F Digital Distance Sensor with Pololu Carrier

The Pololu Carrier with Sharp GP2Y0D810Z0F Digital Distance Sensor is a compact and efficient solution for detecting objects from 2 to 10 centimeters away. Engineered to fulfill the need for quick and reliable distance measurement, it features a remarkable sample rate of almost 400 Hz.

The sensor is built on a tiny carrier board, complete with all necessary external components, ensuring minimal current draw and easy integration into projects. Its digital output design transmits a high signal normally, switching low upon object detection, making it ideal for applications such as break-beams, obstacle detection, and object counting.

Included are both a 3-pin male header and a 3-pin right-angle male header for versatility in connections. The sensor is configured with a ground square pad, a VIN middle pad, and an output remaining pad for connectivity. Performance is further enhanced with the addition of a large capacitor (over 10uF) between power and ground.
