Reed Switch - Insulated

Sparkfun's Reed Switch is a compact, highly functional device that operates based on the presence or absence of a magnetic field. When exposed to a magnetic field, the two ferrous materials inside the switch pull together, closing the switch. Once the magnetic field is removed, the reeds separate, and the switch opens, making it an excellent non-contact switch.
