Adafruit Raspberry Pi Camera Board

A tailor-made expansion for Raspberry Pi, the Raspberry Pi Camera Module connects via one of the board's top sockets using the CSI interface, optimized for camera connections. This high-speed link supports pixel data exclusively.

Compact at 25mm x 20mm x 9mm and weighing just over 3g, it's ideal for portable uses where space and weight are critical. A brief ribbon cable links it to the Raspberry Pi, integrating with the BCM2835 processor through the high-bandwidth CSI bus.

Featuring a 5-megapixel sensor with a fixed focus lens, it captures still images at a 2592 x 1944 resolution. For video, it provides 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p60/90 output. Full compatibility with the latest Raspbian version ensures seamless operation on the Raspberry Pi platform.
