The Pulse Sensor Amped is a highly versatile and easy-to-use heart-rate sensor compatible with Arduino. This sensor is perfect for anyone looking to incorporate live heart-rate data into their projects, be it students, artists, athletes, makers, or game & mobile developers. The Pulse Sensor Amped combines an optical heart rate sensor with amplification and noise cancellation circuitry, ensuring fast and reliable pulse readings. It's also energy-efficient, consuming only 4mA of current at 5V, making it ideal for mobile applications.
Using the Pulse Sensor Amped is a breeze. Simply attach the sensor to your earlobe or fingertip using the included ear clip or Velcro finger strap, connect it to your 3 or 5 Volt Arduino with the 24-inch (60.96cm) color-coded cable, and you're good to go. The cable is terminated with standard male headers, eliminating the need for soldering. Arduino example code and a Processing sketch for visualizing heart rate data are readily available to get you started.
