The Pixy2 CMUcam5 is a compact, high-speed vision sensor that's more adaptable and efficient than its predecessor. This intelligent device can be trained to identify objects with a simple button press. It's equipped with advanced algorithms that allow it to track lines, making it ideal for line-following robots. The Pixy2 can also recognize intersections and 'road signs', enabling your robot to perform actions like turning or slowing down. With a processing speed of 60 frames-per-second, the Pixy2 ensures your robot operates swiftly and smoothly.

Setting up the Pixy2 is a breeze, thanks to the special cables included for direct connection to an Arduino or a Raspberry Pi. Even without these devices, the Pixy2 can easily interface with SPI, I²C, UART, and USB, ensuring quick and effortless communication with your chosen controller.

The Pixy2 employs a color-based filtering algorithm for object detection. This method is favored for its speed, efficiency, and robustness. By calculating the hue and saturation of each RGB pixel from the image sensor, Pixy2 can maintain accurate object detection even in varying lighting and exposure conditions.
