MyoWare Proto Shield

The MyoWare Proto Shield is a compact and efficient proto-board designed specifically for the MyoWare Muscle Sensor. This shield provides a 20.32mm x 38.1mm solderable area with 8 x 15 through-holes on a standard 2.54mm grid, allowing you to solder your own custom circuitry.

The MyoWare Proto Shield comes with two rows of 3-pin plated through-holes at each end of the board. This feature makes it possible to use standard 2.54mm headers to stack this shield with other MyoWare boards, expanding the capabilities of your muscle sensor.

The MyoWare Muscle Sensor, to which this shield attaches, is a sophisticated, Arduino-powered electromyography (EMG) sensor from Advancer Technologies. This sensor measures the filtered and rectified electrical activity of a muscle, outputting 0-Vs Volts depending on the level of muscle activity. Here, Vs represents the voltage of the power source. This makes the MyoWare Proto Shield an ideal tool for biofeedback, robotics control, and even gaming interface development.
