To begin, apply thermal grease to the cylindrical sections of the heat sink, as well as the System on Chip (SOC) area of the ROCK Pi 5B. Place the SOC into the heat sink, aligning it precisely as indicated. The plastic side frames feature cylindrical parts; ensure these align accurately with the corresponding sections on the box.

The bottom shell is equipped with four copper pillars that should match the exposed copper area of the ROCK Pi 5B. Take care to install correctly, avoiding any reverse assembly. For enhanced thermal management, apply a layer of thermal silicone gel to the NVME, ensuring it is at least 3mm thick for effective heat conduction.
