LV-EZ3 Maxbotix Ultrasonic Rangefinder offers precise short to long-range detection within a compact design. Capable of detecting objects from 0 to 254 inches (6.45 meters), it provides sonar range information with 1-inch resolution from 6 inches to 254 inches.
This rangefinder offers multiple interface outputs: pulse width output (PWM), analog voltage output (Vcc/512 volts per inch), and serial digital output at 9600 baud. It's an excellent alternative when traditional Sharp IR distance sensors fall short, as demonstrated in the Halloween Pumpkin project using an Arduino.
The LV-EZ3 is designed with a narrower beam angle compared to the LV MaxSonar EZ1, making it suitable for applications that demand precise detection with reduced sensitivity. For projects requiring different beamwidths, consider the EZ2, EZ3, and EZ4 models. Check out the LV model beam patterns for a detailed comparison.
For higher sensitivity needs, the HR-LV models offer up to 1mm sensitivity and a range extends to 5 meters. Find the LV-EZ3 Data Sheet and Product Information Guide for detailed specifications and applications.
