The Galileo 2 microcontroller board harnesses the power of the Intel® Quark SoC X1000 Application Processor, delivering a 32-bit Intel Pentium-class performance. This second-generation board blends Intel® architecture with Arduino Uno R3 compatibility for an advanced development experience.

Highlighted by its hardware and software pin-compatibility with Arduino shields, Galileo 2 boasts enhanced features such as a 6-pin 3.3V USB TTL UART header, replacing the traditional 3.5 mm jack RS-232 console port. This innovation is complemented by a standard FTDI* USB serial cable connector and USB-to-Serial breakout capability.

Enjoy full-native operation of 12 GPIOs, ensuring superior speed and drive strength for diverse applications. The 12-bit PWM feature offers precise servo control and smoother responses. Redirect Console UART1 to Arduino headers, minimizing reliance on soft-serial in sketches.

Galileo 2 offers a 12V power-over-Ethernet capability with an optional PoE module. A dynamic power regulation system accepts supplies from 7V to 15V, expanding flexibility in power sourcing.

Maintaining the trusted Arduino 1.0 pinout, Galileo 2 supports 3.3V and 5V shield operations, with configurable I/O pin voltage through a simple jumper adjustment. Its software compatibility with the Arduino IDE simplifies integration and usage.
