Datadealer is a functionally identical clone of the acclaimed Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1, a hybrid analog/digital synthesizer boasting immense power and versatility. This expertly crafted kit features the SMR4MKII style filter and includes all components for a fully operational synthesizer. Encased in a laser-cut matte black case with an iridescent top plate, it also boasts black Chroma Caps with a glow-in-the-dark encoder cap.
Each chip comes pre-loaded with exclusive sounds, creatively employed by Infinity Shred in their project, Long Distance. The use of through-hole components ensures an easy assembly, although an intermediate level of soldering experience is advised given the number of parts.
Datadealer includes a built-in sequencer, yet is optimized for external MIDI control for enhanced performance. Its dual digital oscillators provide a rich selection of wave shapes, ranging from Ensoniq's ESQ-1 reminiscent bell and vocal waves to vintage 8-bit tones akin to the Commodore 64.
The filter's warmth and smoothness evoke the classic Roland Juno-106, with the additional capability of processing external audio through an audio input jack. While Datadealer mirrors the Shruthi-1's functionality, Mutable Instruments no longer supports this product.
Adopting a cc-by-sa license, the Datadealer is open for reproduction as long as the original license conditions are maintained. This allows enthusiasts access to the files needed for creating their version of this synthesizer.
